Another trail from Makarska is very popular at the end of month May when there is an organized trip from Makarska to Vošac and celebration of the upcoming summer with food and drinks.

Sv. Jure, 1762 m above sea level

Sv. Jure is at the highest top of Biokovo mountain and the location of the television tower as well as the telecommunication device building.

During wintertime, people who work inside these buildings have difficulty getting on top of Sv.Jure because of wind and snowdrifts. There are a couple of ways to get to the top of mount Biokovo; one is from the junction of Vošac road, another is hiking trail from Makarska, and this one is from Veliko Brdo through Lokve.

The most amazing thing from the peak Sv. Jure is a panoramic view of the islands as well as the hinterland. Also, when the sky is clear, it is possible to see all the way to Italy as well as towards the Bosnian mountains.
